The Future of Digital Identity is Cross-Chain. And it Starts with .locker

.locker digital identities will now resolve on Ethereum Name Service (ENS), unlocking full utility within the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

We introduced .locker in October 2024 as a two-in-one solution: a domain name and a digital identity that is minted on the Bitcoin blockchain. This means .locker names are anchored in the most secure and decentralized blockchain network in the world. But security alone isn’t enough- utility matters.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that .locker digital identities will now resolve on Ethereum Name Service (ENS), unlocking full utility within the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). ENS strives to be the DNS of Web3, connecting digital identities to industry-leading decentralized apps (dApps) built on the Ethereum blockchain. Because Ethereum allows for self-executing smart contracts, it has grown the the largest ecosystem of Web3 transactions, defining what it means to be a blockchain with utility beyond payments.

Now that .locker digital identities resolve on ENS, users can establish a single, unified digital identity across the Bitcoin and Ethereum ecosystems. In addition to its ability to be used for a traditional website, .locker has cross-chain interoperability, where digital identities are secured on the Bitcoin blockchain and are usable across EVM dApps, digital wallets, and decentralized finance (DeFi). .locker users have access to Ethereum’s diverse developer and user community while also maintaining the permanence of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin and Ethereum's rising popularity is much more than a trend; it signals Web3’s deeper integration into mainstream. With .locker, we’re building the bridge from Web2 to the most secure and the most innovative blockchain communities, setting the stage for a truly decentralized, multi-chain identity standard.

This is just the beginning.

Follow us for what’s next. The future of identity is un”lock”ing.
